Jasmine flowers are at their peak for only 12 hours, between May and June. And that 12 hour window is when the sun goes down forcing this tea to be made overnight. And it is in the middle of this period that the flowers should be picked and mixed with green tea.
In the morning, the fragrances of the flowers have disappeared but the tea leaves have absorbed them. The flowers are then removed from the tea to avoid a transfer of less pleasant aromas.
The scent of jasmine emanating from this tea is extraordinary. No flavor has been added to the tea.
